Welcome to the Terms and Conditions page for getcoachinguk. Here you will find important information regarding booking and cancelling private and group lessons, camps, and coaching holidays. Please read carefully to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience with our tennis coaching services.

Booking Private Lessons

To book a private lesson, please contact us directly to schedule a time that works for you and the coach. Payment may be required in advance to secure your booking, and any cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a fee.

  • Prices are individually agreed with the coach and are reviewed annually on 1st April.
  • You can either pay on the day, pay for block bookings (payment by bank transfer is only permitted for block bookings) or pay via direct debit (only suitable for regular slot lessons as monthly price is calculated based on annual usage).
  • Card payments are not currently available.
  • 48 hours notice is required for cancellations or the full lesson rate will be charged.
  • Subscription to the club is required for Great Linford and Stewkley Tennis Clubs.

Block Booking

  • Block bookings consist of 5 lessons and the dates and time slots of these become fixed when they are selected at the point of booking.
  • 1 slot change is permitted out of every block of 5 (subject to 48 hours notice), any further changes would be charged as cancellations at the full rate.
  • Subject to the point above, Any changes to slots must be requested at least 48 hours in advance or the lesson will be treated as a cancellation and charged at the full rate.
  • Any lesson cancelled by the coach shall be delivered later in a mutually agreed slot.

Booking Group Lessons

Group lessons can be booked for a specific time slot.  Details on the group size, level of play, and any equipment needed can be found on the group coaching pages. Please ensure all participants are aware of the booking and cancellation policies.

Refunds

Once the term has started no refunds are allowed. It will be at the coach's sole discretion to refund for mitigating circumstances.

Postponed sessions

Missed sessions due to bank holidays, coach availability and extreme weather will be made up in the programme breaks (dates for this situation will be communicated as soon as possible) or can be made up on other sessions.

Replacement lessons

Once the term has started a replacement lesson will only be issued for the following reasons:

  • If a coach has not been able to complete more than 50% of a lesson due to poor weather.
  • If a coach has not been able to run the lesson due to unforseen circumstances.
  • Missed lessons due to other commitments, minor illness or injury will not be refunded.
  • Lessons will not be credited or refunded for COVID Isolation.
  • Dates for replacement lessons are selected by the coach. 

Lesson payments

We spread the cost evenly across a 12 month period. The first payment can work out more or less than the ongoing direct debit depending on how many sessions are left when you start. 

36 sessions @ £9 per 1 hour session = £27 per month for 12 monthly payments.

36 sessions @ £13.50 per 1.5 hour session = £40.50 per month for 12 monthly payments.

36 Squad sessions @ £11 per 1 hour session = £33 per month for 12 monthly payments.

Current players:

No need to do anything you are automatically added to the new register each term.

New player trial:

If you would like a trial session before committing to the class please register for the class you wish to attend (1 free trial per player).
If you wish to sign up after the trial session please use the GoCardless link on your confirmation (This may be provided by the coach on the day of your trial instead) to confirm your booking. 

Class ratios

Term time lessons require a minimum of 4 students to be able to run or the class will be merged or cancelled. Holiday Camp sessions require a minimum average of 6 students per day or the lesson may be cancelled.  lesson spaces will be given on a first come first served basis.

Cancelling

we are sure you will love our programme but if you do want to cancel at any time we require at least 1 month’s written notice. 1 final payment will be taken after this notice and we will let you know when your final session date is.

Booking Camps and Coaching Holidays

For camps and coaching holidays, advance booking is typically required due to limited availability. Please check the schedule and pricing details provided on our website, and contact us to secure your spot. Cancellation policies may vary, so please inquire for specific terms.
